And because the pattern pieces are simple rectangles, you've got two options for getting started. You can print the PDF at home or at a print shop in the size of your choice, or you can skip the printing entirely. The pattern includes a full dimensions table for every piece, so you can plot it straight onto your fabric with a tape measure and tailors chalk. It also makes scaling the pattern up or down to suit your size and height brilliantly straightforward - no complicated alterations needed.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
For 150cm (60") wide fabric you'll need 1.5m (1.7 yards). For 110cm (44") wide fabric you'll need 2m (2.3 yards).
FABRIC IDEAS
Midweight linen around 185gsm is my top recommendation. It sews beautifully, feels lovely against the skin and linen is naturally cooling, antibacterial and hardwearing - exactly what you want in a working apron you'll wear day after day.
Cotton drill is another brilliant choice. It's sturdy, hard-wearing and holds its shape well through plenty of washes. Cotton canvas or a cotton linen blend gives a slightly more structured finish, and waxed cotton works wonderfully if you want something water-resistant for outdoor jobs.
Cotton lawn and poplin are the fun option if you want to play with vibrant prints and pretty colours. And denim is fantastic if you're after something utilitarian - indigo dyed denim in particular looks especially beautiful made up in this style.
SKILL LEVEL
Beginner. If this is your very first sewing project, you'll get on just fine. The rectangle-only pattern pieces, the clear illustrated instructions and the full video walkthrough mean there's nothing to be intimidated by.
